A retired police officer rolled through a McDonald’s drive-thru recently, but instead of ordering fries and a milkshake, he decided to serve up some insults to the workers. When deputies tried to pull him over, he hit the gas.

Enter Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, never one to miss a chance for some colorful commentary. He made the story sound less like a crime report and more like the setup to a comedy skit.

Because really—what’s more Florida than a McDonald’s dust-up, a chase, and a sheriff delivering punchlines like he’s auditioning for open-mic night?

Moral of the story? Don’t disrespect your local drive-thru crew. They’re the true first responders when it’s 2 a.m. and you need nuggets.

And if Sheriff Judd has to get involved, well, you’ll not only end up in handcuffs—you’ll end up as the punchline, too.
